Product Datasheets
| T
The molecular formula of testosterone is C19H28O2.Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androstane class containing a ketone and a hydroxyl group at positions three and seventeen respectively. It is biosynthesized in several steps from cholesterol and is converted in the liver to inactive metabolites. It exerts its action through binding to and activation of the androgen receptor. In humans and most other vertebrates, testosterone is secreted primarily by the testicles of males and, to a lesser extent, the ovaries of females.
| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Dog T spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.| Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |
| Serum(n=8) | 81-101 | 96 |
| Plasma(n=8) | 92-105 | 101 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Dog T and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.| Serum(n=4) | Plasma(n=4) | ||
| 1 : 2 | Range (%) | 83-95 | 88-96 |
| Average (%) | 91 | 93 | |
